Presbyterian Homes Offers Residences Scheduled For Demolition to Lake Forest Fire Department For Joint Fire Response Training www.presbyterianhomes.org 11 March 2008 Lake Forest, IL - Eight local area municipal fire departments will train together on residential fire response techniques using five Gage Lane homes scheduled for demolition after being purchased by Lake Forest Place retirement community to make way for the building of an additional 32 new cottages. The training exercises will to take place on Thursday, March 13, 2008, from 6:30 9:30 pm; Friday, March 14, 2008, 9:00 am - Noon; and Saturday, March 15, 2008, 9:00 am - Noon. According to Deputy Fire Chief Chris Garrison, neighboring fire departments are required to train together several times a year. Many times, other municipalities will be called in to help with emergency medical services, fire events and technical rescues. This is a great opportunity for us to train together, ensuring uniform skill sets and proc! edures that all fire departments can implement in multi-alarm situations, says Garrison. Libertyville, Lake Bluff, Knollwood, Lincolnshire, Highland Park, Deerfield, Mundelein, and Countryside Fire Departments are currently scheduled to participate.
